Minimum of 5 years recent experience as a Surgical Processor is a requirement for this position as is a Surgical Processor Diploma from a reputable College/Institution. Certification from either CSA or IAHCSMM is required. The incumbent must have demonstrated knowledge of current quality improvement practices and current health care issues surrounding sterile processing practices. Must demonstrate the ability to educate and support others while handling multiple requests in this high paced environment. Must be flexible in managing varying and unpredictable situations, able to work independently and to exercise sound judgement at all times. Must be proactive in planning, developing and implementing effective strategies to resolve issues and problems. Knowledgeable of AHS policies and procedures and applicable legislations is required. Must have a working knowledge of Windows 7, Instrument Tracking Systems such as VAX and preferably working knowledge of RMS, ESP and e-people. Extensive knowledge of an Endoscopy Department and processes is also a must for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:Previous documented Supervisory experience within a Medical Device Reprocessing Department is pan asset.
