Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an RSW in acute healthcare settings. Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification is required. Experience working with diverse cultural groups and vulnerable populations, demonstrating trauma informed, patient centered care. Able to respond promptly and decisively using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze situations and determine effective and efficient outcomes. Strong professional judgment and effective time management skills are necessary to prioritize tasks for successfully functioning within the dynamic and challenging environment. Ensure concise, timely and accurate communication, documentation and collaboration with colleagues, patients and families. Experience with self-direction for independently working, and with actively and positively contributing to an interdisciplinary team are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:A Master of Social Work degree (MSW) is an asset. Knowledge and experience with Netcare, Connect Care and Microsoft Office is preferred. Knowledge and experience working with grief and loss; conflict resolution; and risk mitigation approaches are assets.
