Education: A bachelor's degree in a health sciences discipline with a minimum of five (5) years clinical experience. Current registration with an appropriate professional body (e.g. CARTA, CARNA, etc.). Training: Some formal training in simulation education. Some training in the delivery of adult learning programs such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP (some experience in non-clinical adult education may be considered as equivalent). Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience with simulation education delivery. Experience in the provision of clinical education. Ongoing involvement in active clinical work. Competencies: A team player with strong communication, relational, coaching, and organizational/program evaluation skills. Computer literate with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Has the ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimum supervision and prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Should have progressive leadership, team building, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills and abilities. Client or customer management skills.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must be willing to travel throughout the zone as needed. Ability to lift and move simulators and associated equipment > 50Lbs (with assistance when needed).
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Graduate degree in a health sciences discipline. Training: Certification in simulation training/education (i.e., CHSE). Experience: Experience with research/publications. Competencies: Understanding of issues (clinical, operational, technological, etc.) that can impact simulation education. Knowledge of principles and theories of adult education, simulation modalities, and clinical applications. Aware of project management theories, principles, processes and tools.
