Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduation from a recognized school of Respiratory Therapy. Successful completion of the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) certification preferred. One year Respiratory Therapy clinical experience post-graduation, in an acute care setting (preference will be given to those with Emergency experience). Preference will be given to applicants with current Emergency Department Respiratory Therapy knowledge. BCLS-HCP certification required. Preference will be given to applicants with Connect Care training.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current RT knowledge and skills, as demonstrated in an acute care facility. Ability to use initiative, take responsibility, and self-organize in a team environment. Ability to work under pressure and handle competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Work collaboratively on a multi-disciplinary care team, and interact positively with staff/physicians/patients/visitors. Proven ability to advocate effectively for patients. Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
