Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Mental Health populations in a community setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. This position requires a vehicle for business use, including transporting clients in your own vehicle. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required. You are a self-directed, highly motivated individual with exceptional leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills. As an active and supportive team member, you have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as an excellent attendance record.

Preferred Qualifications:

BScN or MN preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years working with complex clients with Mental Health issues. Completion of CBT courses. Working knowledge of Mental Health resources. Knowledge of CTO legislation. Training in suicide and crisis intervention: Suicide Prevention, Risk Assessment and Management (SPRAM) or equivalent and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) would be considered and asset.
