Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Psychology from an accredited university program is preferred although a Master’s Degree with relevant experience will be considered. Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists as a Registered Psychologist is preferred, however Provisional Psychologists are encouraged to apply. Supervision may be arranged for a qualified individual. Knowledge of various physical/medical conditions (e.g., cerebral palsy, spina bifida), learning disorders, early development, behavior problems, and Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred. Responsible to maintain active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) throughout the duration of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference given to those with experience in both assessment and treatment of children across the age span with complex presentations. Experience in administration and interpretation of common assessment instruments would be an asset (e.g., WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, WIAT-III). Demonstrated ability to work on a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced outpatient setting is an asset.
