Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with Physiotherapy Alberta College + Association.

Additional Required Qualifications:

MSK evaluation and treatment skills. Canadian Orthopedic Division Level II Upper/Lower Quadrant. Group therapy/adult teaching skills. Awareness of ergonomic principles & application. Knowledge of appropriate use of modalities in the chronic pain population. Minimum of five years of clinical experience and one year with adult chronic pain population in an ambulatory setting. Effective teaching skills for clients, colleagues and students. Computer skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced orthopaedic courses. Specific training in neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, limb pain, complex regional pain syndrome. Training or courses in functional rehabilitation. Trauma-informed practice. Self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision. Experience treating patients with co-morbid conditions such as psychological disorders. Knowledge of self management and CBT paradigm. Knowledgeable of non-violent crisis intervention.
