Required Qualifications:

Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.

Additional Required Qualifications:

2 or more years of recent hospital experience with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to order entry, checking, sterile compounding, and all aspects of drug distribution such as ward stock, narcotics and individual prescriptions. Certified for sterile compounding (current - within 1 year). Experience in all aspects of Oncology pharmacy practice, including but not limited to the safe handling and preparation of hazardous drugs in the following areas: receiving, set up, preparation, dispensing and general medication distribution. Certified for hazardous drug sterile compounding (current - within 1 year).

Preferred Qualifications:

1 or more year(s) Oncology pharmacy practice experience preferred. Recent experience in special projects or working groups such as aseptic lead, trainer, educator, etc. preferred. Valid certification as an Authorized Chemotherapy Checker preferred. Experience with BDM computer program preferred. 6 or more month(s) experience in retail pharmacy setting preferred. Membership with CAPhO or other pharmacy professional organization preferred.
