Completion of master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification is required. A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an occupational therapist is required. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet able to demonstrate understanding of team approach in client service is required. Proven effective interpersonal and communication skills paired with excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent knowledge of the Alberta Aids to Daily Living Program (AADL) is required. A vehicle in good working condition and a valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working with adults in an occupational therapy community setting is preferred. Active AADL authorizer status is an asset. Proficient computer skills and experience using an electronic documentation system (e.g. Meditech) is an asset.
