Master's Degree in Advanced Nursing Practice. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a NP. Previous experience in rehabilitation setting. Five (5) years’ work experience in medical/surgical pediatric care. Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) In the Family/All Ages or Child/Pediatric NP stream. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support-Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with learning principles as well as ability to successfully lead teams. Experienced at providing patient/family education. Excellent interpersonal communication, verbal and written skills, well developed critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, physicians and other members of the health team. Ability to network with acute care and community to facilitate patients & families through the continuum of care.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expert in pediatric medical/surgical and rehabilitation. ALS/PALS certification.
