Required Qualifications:

Completion of one of the following programs: master's degree in Psychology; master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; master's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; master's degree in Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of one of the following programs will be considered: Registered Provisional Psychologist with an AHS internal supervisor; external supervisor may be considered. Full registration as a Registered Psychologist with CAP within three years from the date of hire. When AHS provides the supervised practice, a return of service agreement is required. Bachelor of Social Work degree and authorization for the restricted activity of psychosocial intervention. Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. Diploma or Bachelor of Science degree in Psychiatric Nursing. Diploma or Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Minimum of 3 years of relevant addiction and mental health experience. Where concurrent capability is limited a candidate may be hired into the position contingent upon a structured learning plan to develop concurrently capability within an established period of time. Current Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers. Employer provided Suicide Risk Management, and Prevention of Harassment and Violence (PoHV) or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience with providing individual and group psychotherapy using an evidenced based modality. Knowledge and experience treating substance related and addictive disorders.
