Required Qualifications:

Completion of one of the following programs: master's degree in Psychology; master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; master's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; master's degree in Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Registration with the applicable licensing body (CARNA, CRPNA, ACOT, CAP, ACSW) is required. Must have a minimum of 1- 2 years recent clinical experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Must have excellent assessment skills. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the assessment and treatment of children/adolescents with mental health concerns/diagnoses is required. The successful candidate must have effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with a range of community stakeholders and service providers. Possession of a valid Alberta driver’s license (non GDL) and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal training in child and adolescent mental health therapeutic interventions such as CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy would be extremely beneficial. Experience working with Child and Family Services, Health Partnership Initiatives, Multicultural groups would be an asset.
