Required Qualifications:

Completion of one of the following programs: master's degree in Psychology; master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; master's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; master's degree in Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Masters of Social Work or Registered Psychologist with Psychosocial Intervention Authorization. Active or eligible for registration with Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) or College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).  Minimum 2 years of experience providing assessment, treatment and discharge to a generalist population with mental health and addiction concerns within the last 5 years. Training and experience in individual and group therapy modalities. Competency in using the DSM V with provisional diagnosis. Advanced crisis management skills including but not limited to Suicide Risk assessments, intervention and treatment, de-escalation skills and the ability to triage the client’s wellness and utilize the multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of the client.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using performance metrics (i.e. feedback informed treatment). Training and experience in therapeutic modalities such as: Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and/or other evidence-based modalities. Understanding of Concurrent Capable Practices. Experience providing supervision to practicum students.
