Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:CAMRT Continuing Education courses CT course 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent CT training courses or proof of registration. A minimum of two years general technical experience. Previous experiences in appropriate imaging modality and a general knowledge of computers. Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to cooperate. Ability to work independently and promote good teamwork. Perception, initiative, good judgment and concern for detail and accuracy. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Ability to work under pressure and in emergencies. Ability to communicate in English required. Practices effective radiation protection. IV Certification. Evaluates images for completeness and performs repeat or additional images as required. Schedules procedures, as required, focusing on patient care requirements and examination priority. Prepares contrast agents or medications as authorized and within scope of practice.
Preferred Qualifications:CAMRT CTIC certificate. Minimum 2 years CT Experience.
