Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Psychology. Minimum of two years' experience in a Mental Health setting. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS - HCP). Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification. Possession of a valid driver's licence and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel.

Additional Required Qualifications:

At least 5 years’ experience working with individuals with any combination of mental health or developmental disabilities through a case management model. Effective written and oral communication, interpersonal, and therapeutic relationship skills are a position requirement. Applicants must have experience with applied behaviour management strategies (positive approaches), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, client-centered care, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and psychosocial rehabilitation principles Ability to foster a climate of cooperation, networking and build solid relationships with public service providers, government, committees and other partners. Ability to thoroughly and accurately collect and document information in a professional and timely manner. Have worked in a multidisciplinary team and has the ability to work well with a range of disciplines Must have effective computer and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to provide case management, consultation, behavioural assessment/ intervention, education and coaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants with community developmental disabilities/mental health support experience and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, experience working with individuals who have addictions, brain injury and/or other disabilities with accompanying behavioural issues. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Community Treatment Orders, Protection of Person in Care Act and other relevant legislation. Knowledge of available community and government resources.
