Your Opportunity:

We are looking for a therapy assistant to work within our recreation therapy team on a casual basis. We provide service at various locations throughout the Edmonton area, and you will be expected to travel between locations as required. Please note: Must be able to travel between various sites/locations; and may require the use of a personal vehicle.

Description:

Description: The Therapy Assistant is responsible for assisting in the delivery of therapeutic rehabilitation programs.  The Therapy Assistant participates in assessment related activities as well as the planning and development of client programs which includes leading individual or group treatment and educational interventions. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: A directly related diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with the senior population. Experience working with psychiatry patients. Connect care and I -expense. Work within a team and take direction from a Recreation Therapist.
