Description:

Reporting to the Manager of Nutrition, Food, Linen, and Environmental Services (NFLES), the NFLES Supervisor plays a key leadership role in the day-to-day delivery of high-quality hospitality type services. This role is central to ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff. As an integral part of the NFLES team, the Supervisor oversees operations related to: Nutrition & Food Services. Linen Services. Environmental (Housekeeping) Services. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and supervise daily operations across NFLES departments. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Provide leadership and support to frontline staff. Promote a resident-centered approach to service delivery. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support overall care goals. Support scheduling and operational needs, including availability for evenings/weekends as required.

Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 education. Completion of Food Service Management course or equivalent management training. Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a supervisory capacity in a unionized health care setting of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Experience in employee scheduling, conducting customer satisfaction surveys and quality audits, customer relations. Food Safe Certificate. Note: an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Knowledge of infection prevention, and environmental cleaning protocols. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team.


Preferred Qualifications:

Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting. Commitment to Covenant Health’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
