Grade 12 diploma, required. Completion of a two-year management training course, required. Minimum 2 years recent experience in a supervisory capacity, required. Minimum 3 years experience of related health care experience, required. Experience in employee scheduling, required. Experience in conducting customer satisfaction surveys/quality audits, required. Experienced in customer relations, required. Equivalent combinations of experience and education will be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in office procedures and computer applications in a Windows environment including word processing, spreadsheets, data bases, Email, Internet and staff scheduling programs. Working knowledge of interpreting collective agreements. Demonstrated ability in coaching, teaching and facilitating. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Self motivated and self directed. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality assurance. Strong organizational skills. Excellent time management skills. Demonstrated ability to contribute and function as part of a team. Supports a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Displays a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Able to handle multiple demands concurrently. Able to apply leadership skills appropriate to the situation. Displays flexibility and professional approach to decision making and conflict resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:
May be required to respond to conflict on a daily basis. Activities are continually under time limitations to meet customer expectations. A yearly flu shot is strongly recommended and may be required if the position requires frequent patient/resident contact.
