Covenant Health is looking for a dynamic health care leader with strong human resource and financial skills, and a dedication to resident centered care to lead the team at St. Michaels Health Care Centre in Lethbridge. This leader will bring their experience in building teams and driving positive culture change while operating within the resources available. St. Michaels is a 202-bed continuing care community. We provide care to those who have complex needs in a warm, homelike setting. St. Michaels provides type A, type B secure and hospice care. St. Michael's also offers rehabilitation through a restorative care program, and a post-acute rehabilitation program, as well as an adult day program that supports seniors living in the community. Lethbridge is a beautiful small city located in Southern Alberta with easy access to the Rocky Mountains and Waterton Park. Lethbridge has all the amenities of a city while offering a short commute to work.
Description:
Reporting to a Senior Director of Operations, the Site Administrator is responsible for the operational and administrative management of St. Michaels Health Centre and is a representative of Covenant Health within the local community. The Site Administrator is responsible for: Working closely with site physician partners to set clinical direction, champion quality improvement and client safety, and monitor performance and trends in order to drive continuous improvement within their facility. Managing all financial, human and physical resources of the facility, overseeing key performance indicators and resolving operational issues at the unit, program, and site level. Building a site culture that focuses on teamwork and resident centered care while upholding Covenant's mission and values. Supporting the Covenant Foundation by recognizing potential fund-raising opportunities and participating in local fundraising initiatives. Collaborating with Corporate Directors of Support Services at Covenant Health to ensure site integrity. Working collaboratively with local care partners such as the Alberta Government and AHS. Engaging local community leaders and attending community events. As this position is the face of the organization in the community served, the Site Administrator will uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of Covenant Health in all aspects of the role, ensuring a focus on the strategic direction and priorities of the organization. The responsibilities of this position are focused around four critical aspects of care and service: People and teams. Access and flow. Quality and safety. Efficiency and resources. This position is non-unionized.

Formal Education: • Undergraduate degree in health care discipline or business/administration required. Experience: • Minimum of eight (8) years progressive health care management experienced required. • Demonstrated experience in operational planning and leadership. • Experience at a senior level in hospital administration within a multi-union environment. • Experience in the rural and continuing care sector. • Experience in financial accountability.
