Reporting to the Manager, Web & Digital Communications, the Senior Advisor, Web and Digital is an integral member of a team providing leadership to the organization’s internal and external digital communications efforts. Using strategic thinking, consultation and teamwork, the senior advisor contributes to a variety of digital projects and initiatives to advance the strategic directions of the organization and foster a digitally savvy culture. The position requires strong project management, change management, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with a wide range of technical and non-technical professionals to help turn business requirements and user needs into engaging online experiences. Description:

As the digital subject matter expert on key projects and initiatives, the senior advisor provides leadership, direction, planning, development, and implementation of technical solutions to support Covenant Health’s digital ecosystem. Key responsibilities include: Provides operational and project leadership in driving the design and development of Covenant’s digital user experiences. Oversees the project management development cycle for digital platforms and coordinates scoping, planning, scheduling, and delivery of projects. Leads and/or supports the planning and implementation of digital solutions to maintain and enhance websites, intranets, SharePoint and Teams sites. Champions a user-centered design approach to optimize digital products and solutions around the needs of stakeholders. Contributes to the development of digital governance processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure smooth operations and maximize the impact of digital. Monitors digital channels and products and enforces governance where necessary. Advises the team on using content management systems and helps ensure the standards and processes for publishing and web accessibility are met. Provides consultation and leadership to client areas and colleagues to define requests, translating their communications and business goals into appropriate user-centric digital assets and experiences. Works collaboratively with team members to develop digital products and implement digital communications strategies and/or tactics. Configures, maintains, and optimizes various digital tools, including analytics, user behavior, site performance and optimization, web surveys, live chat, email and marketing automation software. Translates analytics into tangible recommendations and meaningful actions to improve performance, user experience, findability, and searchability.

Required Qualifications:

A degree or diploma in web development or design, computer sciences, IT, management information systems, business, digital marketing, communications, or related field. Minimum five years’ experience leading, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating digital solutions. Demonstrated experience with web design, front- and back-end development, and site management using content management systems. Developer experience in Drupal, OpenText and SharePoint is an asset. In-depth experience defining information architecture within an ecosystem of websites, microsites, and intranets. Ability to create and/or adapt design, including wireframes and visual mock-ups, based on requirements and web analytics, usability evaluations, and user research. Strong project management skills to lead and coordinate all phases of digital development ensuring alignment with business objectives, constructing detailed work plans, achieving milestones, and communicating results. Comprehensive understanding of web-based communication principles and best practices, including user-centred methodologies, web accessibility and usability, responsive design, and SEO. Proven experience working with Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Looker Studio, and other analytics tools.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to think strategically with proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Effective communicator with client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality service. Proven ability to interface with diverse technical and non-technical groups spanning all levels in the organization. A self-motivated and directed team player with a proactive, show initiative mindset. Strong commitment to personal development and participation in continuing education activities to enhance knowledge of digital marketing trends, best practices, and new technologies.


Preferred Qualifications:

Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Knowledge of digital project management principles and methodologies. Work experience as a digital project manager is an asset. In-depth understanding of digital tools for usability, accessibility, and behavioral tracking. Healthcare and/or public sector environment experience. Strong customer focus, commitment to continuous quality improvement and results-oriented leadership style.
