Your Opportunity:
We are seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our busy Child Health Clinic team. This frontline role is essential to maintaining smooth daily operations while providing a welcoming and supportive experience for pediatric patients and their families. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Greeting and check in patients and families in a friendly, professional manner. Answer and manage a high volume of phone calls. Book and coordinate patient appointments. Schedule and adjust appointments for multiple physicians and healthcare providers. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff. Support overall clinic workflow and administrative needs. Please note: Classification under Review.

The Secretary II provides advanced level administrative support. The Secretary II performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 2111 Collective Agreement.

One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Previous experience in a medical office or administrative role preferred working with pediatric patients and families.

Strong communication and customer service skills, with a compassionate approach. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable working with a team of healthcare professionals. Knowledge of medical office software is an asset.
