Resident Care Supervisor

Your Opportunity:

The Resident Care Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day unit operation, including direct supervision of unit staff. This role interacts with nursing staff, other unit staff, and other departments and interdisciplinary team members on a daily basis and provides clinical support to patient/resident care by exception only. The position facilitates and fosters interdisciplinary participation in resident care activities and coaches, mentors, motivates and empowers clinical staff. The Resident Care Supervisor creates a climate of interdepartmental respect and collaboration, and adheres and models the Covenant Health mission, vision and values. The responsibility of the position are focused around four critical aspects of care and service: People and Teams, Access and Flow, Quality and Safety, and Efficiency and Resources. This position acts as a resource and a role model to staff regarding issues on the unit through effective communication and displaying professional behaviour and flexibility. This position maintains an awareness of resident/family needs and promotes participation in their care; advocates actively for residents and families on an ongoing basis.
