Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses are also required: 1) CRNA Medication Administration Certificate - https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F 2) NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification - https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent acute care experience required. Minimum 2 yrs recent PACU experience or a combination of 1yr PACU and / or 1yr of surgical or critical care experience will be considered. Excellent assessment and organizational skills. Demonstrated leadership ability and communication skills that promote respect and a positive team environment. Ability to demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgment.
Preferred Qualifications:Advance Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Charge experience preferred. Adult Critical Care Nursing Certificate preferred. Canadian Nursing Association (CNA) certification for Peri-Anesthesia Nursing. Computer skills including experience in Microsoft Outlook, email.
