The position supports the organization by providing expert knowledge relating to allied health best practices and changes in regulations and compliance requirements. The incumbent will also facilitate the evaluation and adoption of evidence-based research outcomes into practice at the organizational level. The ideal candidate in this position will excel in leading the development of educational resources and supporting education to ensure clinical providers can integrate the changes into practice. Description:

The Professional Practice Lead is responsible for promoting and maintaining scope of practice and professional standards of a distinct profession across multiple service sectors within the organization. This position will lead the development and dissemination of practice standards and procedures for consideration by Covenant Health teams; Provide clinical guidance and/or recommendations to all levels of organizational leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical practice and education initiatives; Support and advocate the discipline by providing advice and guidance, educational materials, and tools in support of best practice standards, scope of practice, legislation, and regulations; Develop and maintain trusting, positive relationships with front-line teams, operational managers, and external partners; Contribute to highly effective teams with a strong commitment to quality, improvement, and patient care focus; Maintain an expert level of knowledge relating to the discipline and adult learning to successfully plan initiatives and multimodal learning; Maintain familiarity with a variety of clinical programs across the continuum of care to assist the application of standards, and education; Effectively influence organizational decision making without having positional authority; Apply effective change management and communication strategies to implement changes, amongst other responsibilities. You would leverage your strong leadership skills to lead professional practice initiatives addressing provincial priorities and holding accountability for deliverables; Work with key stakeholders and other government ministries to align interprofessional practice initiatives with our organizational strategy; and Provide recommendations to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of the services delivered.
