The Nutrition, Food, Linen and Environmental Services (NFLES) department is integral to the support of the Killam Health Centre and Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital. Our program provides patient and resident food services, linen and environmental services. As the NFLES Supervisor, you will provide your teams' operational direction and performance guidance. You will be part of a dedicated leadership team that manages the daily operations of the departments, providing quality service and fiscal management to the organization. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate skills in critical thinking, de-escalation, organization and conflict resolution skills; interpersonal and communication skills; build and maintain relationships with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team; patient teaching, advocacy and patient and family centered care; show initiative and independence; be adaptable and flexible in a changing environment; and foster positive relationships in a team environment. Please note: Travel is required and may include the use of a personal vehicle. A standard driver’s abstract may also be required for use of corporate lease vehicles.

Completion of post-secondary education in a management field, including but not limited to Food Services Management, Hospitality Management, or Human Resources Management. etc. Qualifications: Please enter information in this field.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years recent experience in a supervisory capacity. Minimum 3 years' experience of related health care experience. (Experience in all sectors preferred: Production, Patient Meal Service, Environmental Services). Demonstrated ability to function in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of dietary guidelines, foodservice, and environmental services. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience supervising unionized, fast-paced environments. Self-motivated with effective time management. Detail-oriented and accurate. Professional approach to decision-making and conflict resolution. Proficient in Microsoft Office, scheduling software, EBS R12 Oracle, and payroll programs. Current Food Safety Certificate or willing to obtain upon hire.
