Required Qualifications: Graduate of a recognized Medical Radiation Technologist program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) required. BLS (Level C - Health Care Provider) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Radiological Technologist I, part of which must be in a medium to large hospital (200-500 beds) preferred. Previous computed tomography experience required. Involved in x-ray emitting procedures requiring the donning of leaded apparel weighing up to 9.5kg for up to 7.75 hours while assisting within the perimeter of a radiation field. Must possess and be proven to have an excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated existing competence in performing the full range of CT exams and procedures preferred. Willing to learn, and able to effectively communicate any limitations in knowledge. Experience of working with unstable trauma patients.
