Your Opportunity:
Under the limited supervision of the Corporate Director, Budgeting and Forecasting and as an integral member of the Financial Systems and Planning team, the Manager, Financial Systems & Projects is responsible for providing business process support and leadership as follows: Partners with Alberta Health Services Information Technology, Business Systems and Financial Operations departments to assess, research, analyze and document business and systems requirements. Represent Covenant Health and Covenant Finance at various AHS IT related committees. Provide Financial Systems leadership by working collaboratively with Finance partners to ensure business requirements are met and changes are properly implemented. Plan, deliver and evaluate Hyperion system capabilities in order to provide relevant reporting to various levels of leadership. Provide Oracle, Markview, iExpense, eManager and Hyperion/Smartview Financial System support to Finance and Operation Managers. Represent Covenant Health at Provincial AHS led meetings to ensure our financial system needs are identified, and met in accordance to the Shared Services Agreement with AHS. Ensure efficient maintenance and operations of financial systems, to provide optimum functionality, and to ensure data integrity and security. Administer user security and configure financial software systems. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities and provide useful systems output, reports and data analysis.

Bachelor Degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance and/or Information System or related field. Completion of certificate in Data Analytics, BI tools or related field with coding knowledge of SQL. Minimum three to four years progressive experience with budgeting and financial analysis.
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated experience and proficiency in building and developing Hyperion and Smartview templates. Must possess high commitment to providing quality customer service. In depth knowledge of internal and external financial system requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals from varying disciplines and different skill levels. Must possess a high degree of initiative, judgement and decision making capabilities. Ability to understand scope of decision-making capabilities and determine when decisions should be referred upwards.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Health Care, Budgeting and Planning in a not-for-profit sector. Proficient in MS office applications with advanced Excel and Access skills. Experience in massive data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
