Your Opportunity:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Emergency Mental Health department (EMH), you will provide holistic assessments within a recovery model framework for patients presenting in psychiatric or psychosocial crisis. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team in the Emergency Department to assess the patient, determine the level of illness and risk to self or others, and make recommendations to Emergency Physicians and Psychiatrists regarding the plan of care for the patient. As an EMH LPN, you will collaborate with stakeholders and organize referrals to community services based on client need. multidisciplinary team. The LPN participates in nursing assessments and interventions, care planning, implements prescribed treatments, administers medications, monitors and evaluates treatments, and documents patient care and treatment response. The LPN facilitates patient and family education and discharge planning.
