Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Clerk IV performs clerical duties on a busy surgery post-operative inpatient unit 6 West is a 21-bed unit that supports mainly patients undergoing orthopedic surgery. This unit is high turnover, and the successful candidate requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills to support the team of nursing and other health care professionals. Opportunity to work within the unit's interdisciplinary team to promote excellent patient care. Please note: Classifications Under Review.

Description:

The Clerk IV provides complex clerical support. The Clerk IV performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 2111 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

One - Two years experience in medical / surgical acute care setting. Must display a positive, professional demeanor at all times and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be self-motivated, action driven and show proactive initiative in maintaining and organizing workflow. Extensive proficiencies in Microsoft office programs, including Office, Word and Teams, and a high proficiency in typing and formatting. Demonstrated experience working with program ordering supplies and direct purchasing orders through oracle and other suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent communication and organizational skills an asset. Drive to improve unit operations through quality projects an asset. Relevant Connect Care Training / Experience an asset.
