Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) is required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent. 2 years recent Charge Nurse Experience in Labour & Delivery. Active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Heart & Stroke Foundation BLS Certification (Level C) Health Care Provider. Neonatal Resuscitation certification. Fetal Health Surveillance certification.
Preferred Qualifications:Committed to safe, effective and ethical patient care and work practices. Ability to work in a fast paced, highly stressful environment. Able to deescalate tense situations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to participate as an effective member of and lead the inter-professional team. Good organizational skills as well as problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Exercises good judgement in decision making.
