Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Evidence of CSMLS certification may be required. Proven interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills are required. Excellent public relations and a service-oriented manner are essential. Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with patients/clients, families, staff, inter-disciplinary team members and personnel from other departments in a fast-paced, and changing environment. Proven analytic and problem solving skills, attention to detail, logical/methodical work habits, and demonstrated ability to work independently are required. Candidate must be well organized and flexible.

Current experience in Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine. Meditech LIS experience and knowledge is preferred. Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or related field is an asset.
