Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Core lab experience within the last 3 years is required along with strong phlebotomy skills. Working within a team environment, good interpersonal skills, effective time management and the ability to set priorities are necessary. Excellent communication skills both written and oral are required. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable and flexible within an environment of change and interruptions. Must be able to represent Laboratory Medicine in a respectful, professional and courteous manner.

This is a working level position utilizing technical skills and judgment performing a diverse range of diagnostic procedures within the Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, and Specimen Procurement departments; within the scope of practice of a Medical Laboratory Technologist or a CLXT with TRAM 1 &2. Experience working with Ortho Chemistry analyzer, Sysmex XN550, ACL Elite Pro, Clinitek Advantus, ID-MTS gel (TM) and with Meditech LIS.
