Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Strong problem solving/ trouble shooting abilities are required. Ability to organize and prioritize workload as well as work under pressure is required. Excellent computer and keyboarding skills are required. Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with co-workers, and other health care providers are required. Good performance and attendance is required. Candidate must possess the ability to work independently as well as in a group setting.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference given to graduates of an accredited MLA day program. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is preferred. Actively promotes and participates in Alberta Health Services Code of Conduct and APL Values.
